I want to make the whole process from booking your photo shoot to receiving your finished images straightforward and enjoyable. Read on to find out what to expect when you book a pet photo session with me.
A simple booking process
We’ll have a chat about what you’re hoping to achieve. You may be looking for a big portrait for your wall that shows your pet’s unique personality. Or perhaps you’d prefer a set of photos or a book that records what you love to get up to together every day. Or just some prints to give to your loved one as a surprise. I’ll advise you on the best way to achieve that and we’ll agree a time and location that suits you.
I’ll send you a booking form electronically and they’ll be the option to pay your shoot fee online or over the phone. Once you’re all booked in, I’ll send a tips and hints sheet on getting the most from your photo session. If you’ve got any questions or concerns, I’m only a phone call or email away.
A relaxed, fun experience during your photo shoot
I’ll meet you at our agreed location, usually your home. I allow time for your dog or cat to get used to me being around – great for timid pets who are nervous of strangers or for boisterous pets who get excited when they meet someone new. I seem to get on with animals so they soon carry on as if they’ve known me for years. If they don’t relax with me enough to get you several images to choose from, I offer a money back guarantee.
I work with natural light as much as possible – I shoot with top of the range camera equipment that allows me to make the most of the light that’s already there, so there’s no disruption to your home to create space for studio lights and backdrops. If we’re out on a walk, you can keep your pet on a lead if you prefer – I can remove the lead in Photoshop later if it’s intrusive. I leave it up to you if you want to use treats – you know your pet best and what their likes and dislikes are.
A gallery of beautiful proofs to view online at your leisure with no high pressure sales techniques!
I’ll go back to my office and upload your photos ready for editing. I’ll create you a gallery of proof images usually within a couple of weeks of your shoot. I’ll send you a link to the gallery so you can look through your photos online – there’s no obligatory face-to-face viewing session to put you under pressure.
A simple ordering process with advice if you want it
You’ve got 14 days to place your order so you’ve got plenty of time to choose. There’s no minimum order value. If you want advice on which images work best together or what will work well in your home, then I’m happy to come out and see you with sample frames, etc, if you’re within 20 miles of Warwick, or we can have a discussion online via Skype.
A choice of top quality prints, frames, canvasses and albums
If you want printed versions of your favourite photos, I’ve chosen quality products that I think will stand the test of time and preserve your precious photos for many years to come. They’re all made by professional photo labs using archival quality inks and papers.
Expert editing, design and finishing of your chosen images
I carefully edit each image you order to suit your chosen products. For instance, if you’re ordering a large canvas, your photo will need to be edited in detail to make sure stray hairs and dust don’t detract from the finished portrait. If you’re ordering frames, canvasses or albums, I’ll mock up the layouts so you can approve them before I order them from my suppliers.
You don’t have to buy printed images to get access to the digital files. There are options on my price list for downloading individual files or your full set of images with a copyright licence that allows you to create your own prints.
Online or over the phone payment options
As your products are made specifically for you, you will need to pay for them in advance. You can pay your invoice via credit or debit card over the phone or online via bank transfer or PayPal.
Your professionally finished products delivered to your door
Delivery lead times vary depending on what you’ve ordered but I’ll advise you of that when we’re agreeing your order. Prints are usually posted to you directly via Royal Mail. If you’re within 30 miles of Warwick, I will happily deliver your frames, canvasses and albums to you in person at an agreed appointment time. If you’re further away, then I will arrange for a courier to deliver them. If your finished photos are a gift, let me know and I can arrange to wrap them for you if you wish.
